Strengthening of Border Liaison Office(BLO) around the Mekong River

Strengthening of Border Liaison Office (BLO) around the Mekong River proposed by the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office (SPO) aims to enable the Mekong countries achieve balanced development by suppressing transnational crimes frequently committed in and around the Mekong region. In the first place, BLO staff will receive job training from experts. In addition, with improved equipments, the project will bring better drug control and a cooperative working atmosphere among each BLO.

Objectives

1. Strengthening of Border Liaison Office (BLO) around the Mekong river proposed by the SPO aims to enable the Mekong countries to achieve balanced development by suppressing transnational crimes frequently committed in and around the Mekong region in the first place with job training on the BLO staff, improving old equipment for better drug control and making cooperative atmosphere among each BLO

1 1) 4 workshops to facilitate sharing information and making cooperative atmosphere among each BLO. The first workshop will be a pre- workshop to prepare for the next three workshops. 2) Training program for working level officers in the field of BLO and will invite officers into Korea to train them on further advanced skills 3) The proposed project will be completely implemented funded solely by Mekong-ROK Cooperation Fund, therefore there is no cost or obligation for the concerned member Gove
