Certified Logistics Master Program

Project Description: Mekong Institute (MI) proposes to design and deliver a modular training on “Training of Trainers (TOT) on Certified Logistics Master Program” for the third phase with representatives from government agencies and logistics service providers along the GMS economic corridors in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam (CLMTV). The modular training undergoes three progressive stages of “Learn to do”, “Do to learn”, and “Share to learn”.  Through the implementation of three training cycles during 2014-2016), 90 logistics professionals from CLMVT have been trained. In the third phase of the program, a total of 20 participants from the previous three trainings will be selected for the proposed TOT program.   The objective of this training program is to promote a pool of professional trainers to continue providing capacity development activities to improve cross-border and transshipment logistic services in the GMS countries. This will result in decreasing cross-border logistics costs, improving quality and timely services of local logistics service providers in the GMS economic corridors, and integrating local logistics service providers into sub-regional, regional, and global logistic chains.
